Closet Organization Tips

So, if you’re anything like me you can go from being super organized one week to being a disorganized mess the next. Growing up I alway had a hard time keeping my room clean and organized. As I have grown older ( 30, oh God..) I now like my space to be clean and organized. However, it’s not always easy to keep up with. I walked into my closet the other day and saw some major struggles so I decided to give it a little organizational love. See my tips below!

Yikes, this is my closet before I decided to clean and organize it. My first step was going to Athome stores ( as you know I LOVE This place) and I went right for the organizational section. They have so many awesome organizational baskets, bins and crates. I can’t believe how excited I get about organizational stuff these days. I feel like I’m becoming my mom. ( Hi mom.. I know you’re reading this.)

Once I was in the organizational section I decided on a color theme. I wanted to go with a girly theme since it’s a girls closet and I usually go for more of a beachy theme I wanted to switch it up. I decided on grays, pinks and pops of gold.

IMG_5536First I got these adorable organizational bins. They are super spacious and work perfectly to keep my clothes organized. I have one bin for pjs, leggings, socks, scarfs and one for bathing suits.

IMG_5535I then looked for a “pop of gold.” I found this adorable little gold tin and had to get it. I’m currently using if for lip gloss but you could also use it for hair pins or anything else that’s small and easy to lose.

I also added this cute little bench and pop of gold lips pillow. This bench has been great when I’m putting my shoes on or for my cat, Zoey to sit on and pretend it’s her throne.

And the final look! I can’t tell you what a difference it has made to give my closet a little love. Everything has a place and I love that it actually feel like a little cozy room now with a color theme, a mini bench and fun gold accents. I actually look forward to getting changed in the morning now.

I also added a hanging shoe organizer which was a huge help! I also purchased this at Athome stores. My shoes were basically all over the apartment before I bought this guy.

So, what about you? Does your closet need some organizational love? If so, let me know what you end up doing and I would highly recommend Athome stores if you want some super cute pieces without breaking the bank!
