I wore this outfit to a date night with my boyfriend, Layne. We went to Hillside Farmacy and it was so much fun! One of my favorite things to do it to try new resteraunts because I love to eat! I also love trying new wines. If you go to Hillside Farmacy I would highly recommend the burger. It’s delicious!
This is one of my new favorite sweaters for Fall. It also comes in tan. I love both colors! Also, how fun are these boots? They are such a statement piece. It’s always fun to stand out from the crowd and rock something a little funky, right?

This hat is one of my favorite ways to dress up an outfit for Fall. Oh and it’s only $19! Yes please. Fall has to be my all time favorite season. The thing I’m most excited about is cooler weather. Living in Austin, TX is hot as an oven and honestly it’s pretty miserable for me the entire summer. I’m also extremely excited about pretty much everything pumpkin. Yeah, I know.. it’s basic some say but I don’t care. I love pumpkin candles, lattes, decor.. oh and actual pumpkins too!
This outfit totally brought me back to living in NYC. I felt like I wanted to hail down a cab and head to brunch in Soho. Or checking out a broadway play works too!

I hope you found something to add to your Fall waredrobe! I always try to find items that are affordable and comfy as well.
So guess what? My boyfriend and I started Paleo a few weeks ago and I’m pretty sure I’m having a “low carb flu” have you guys heard of that? It’s for real. Have any of you tried paleo before? I would be interested to see how long this “flu” will last and when the ketosis should kick in!
What else is new in my life? I’ve been working hard to stay up with my blog, my art, my social media clients and also maintain my sanity. Sometimes it’s a lot I have to say, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. It’s easy to get caught up in feeling stressed about life instead of looking at the good things. I noticed a few weeks ago I just was feeling super stressed all of the time because I felt like I couldn’t keep up with all of my work and side businesses and then I realized something. I’m human. I need to remember that and I know so many of you need to as well. It’s easy to get in that hole of complaints and being hard on yourself but we’re not perfect and we’re all in this together.
One thing that has helped me when I have been feeling overwhelemed is waking up and saying 5 things I’m thankful for outloud before I get out of bed. Honestly, it’s one of the best things I’ve added to my daily routine in years. Also I know this sounds weird but smile. Just force yourself to smile even if you dont want to. It really helps me to feel calm and centered. “Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy” – This quote is from one of my all time favorite authors, Thich Nhat Hanh. I would highly recommend checking out his book, “Peace is Every Step” because it really helped me to focus on the moment more and to do my best to appreciate every aspect of life.. even something as mundane as washing the dishes.
